North Bay & Coral Island vs Havelock Scuba

Port Blair day boats sell North Bay and Coral Island as water sports. That is not Beach No. 5. If you want an SSI instructor and a reef we brief, ferry to Havelock.

A proper Havelock dive day after the Port Blair ferry — not a city water-sports stop

City water sports are a different ticket

North Bay, Coral Island, Jolly Buoy, Red Skin — Port Blair and Wandoor day boats use these names. Helmet walks, snorkel, a short look at coral. Fine if you have four hours and no Havelock ferry. It is not an SSI Try Scuba with the Beach No. 5 crew.

We already said Ross Island is not a dive. North Bay often rides the same tourist loop. Do not buy that loop thinking you booked Johnny’s Gorge.

What we run

Havelock tanks. Scuba in Andaman. Havelock sites. Port Blair vs Havelock.

Retreats use Port Blair for jail and the Ross boat, then the crossing. Read the live itinerary on trips.

If a driver in town offers “scuba today, cheap”: ask whether it is a cylinder with an instructor you will see tomorrow, or a helmet in a queue. Then ferry to Havelock if the tank was the point.

Book once you have nights on Swaraj Dweep. WhatsApp if you are stuck in Port Blair with one afternoon.

Pick Try Scuba, a course, or a week on the islands. WhatsApp is there if you are still deciding.
