Reef Sharks in the Andamans
Blacktips along the drop-off, nurse sharks under ledges. What we actually see on Havelock dives, and how the briefing goes.

Ordinary reef sharks, not a cage trip
You are more likely to see a blacktip reef shark off the wall, or a nurse shark under a ledge, than anything from a film poster. We do not chum. We do not sell a species list.
Blacktips
Smaller than people expect, often in the blue just off the reef. Stay in your water, hands in, watch them pass. Charging in for a photo usually means they leave and you sit in silt.
Nurse sharks
They rest in holes by day. Give the hole space. A startled nurse wants out; you do not want to be in the doorway.
Shark ecology as an SSI specialty is behaviour and habitat. If we are running it, it is on courses.
The brief is look, breathe, stay with the group. Panic empties your tank. Most injuries we worry about are still from poor buoyancy, not from sharks.
Certified: fun dives. New: Try Scuba stays shallow and with an instructor.
