What to Pack for Scuba in Havelock

Swimwear, towel, reef-safe sunscreen, your card if you have one. We handle kit. What not to buy, and the medical honesty that actually matters.

Beginner scuba day on Havelock — packing is mostly swimwear and honesty

You do not need a suitcase of kit

For Try Scuba and most course weeks at Continental Scuba: swimwear, towel, reef-safe sunscreen. We handle the session equipment listed on the package. Ordinary beach sunscreen sheds into the lagoon — skip it.

If you are already certified

Bring the card (plastic or digital). We still brief Havelock. Fun dives are not a rental counter with no questions. Fun dives.

A well-fitting mask you already own is worth packing. Everything else can wait until you know you will keep diving.

Paper and honesty

  • Dates, ferry, who cannot swim — send that on WhatsApp before you fly.
  • Ears, lungs, heart, recent surgery, pregnancy: say so. SSI screening exists for a reason. We would rather move you to snorkel than pretend.
  • Intro age on our Try Scuba FAQ is 10 with guardian consent. Course skill checks are walked through before you book — Try Scuba page.

What to leave out

A full kit buy for one holiday. A promise you can swim when you cannot. A same-day fly-out after the last tank — wait before flying.
